1999 HARRIS CORPORATION
Harris’ newest test sets, the TS22ALO and
TS22LO data lockout units, offer built-in data
detection and override features. The data lock-
out capability is provided by an audible signal
to indicate the presence of data, which
prevents the technician from disrupting data
when switching to talk mode. The override
feature allows the technician to override the
data lockout circuit when attempting to pull
dial tone from a very noisy imbalanced line or
noisy ground start line.
Should a technician accidentally clip onto a
DSO or DS1 circuit when operating these test
sets in monitor mode, the test set’s high
impedance monitor assures DataSafe opera-
tion while monitoring the line. The test sets’
data detection circuitry is compatible with all
major high speed data services, both audible
and inaudible, including T1, E1, ISDN basic and
primary rate, SW56 and XDSL.
The TS22ALO and TS22LO test sets are
designed for maximum productivity, ease of
use, and the safeguarding of high speed data
lines. They also ensure a higher quality of
customer service to both your residential and
business users, limiting customer complaints.
The TS22LO test set has an amplified speaker
for improved productivity—and the TS22ALO
unit, with two-way speakerphone, offers true
hands free operation. A host of other features
include DTMF signal-level compensation, nine
18–digit number storage, last number redial,
mute switch and polarity indication. Meeting
the rugged requirements for outside plant,
these units offer RainSafe protection and
DropSafe durability. They offer your best
assurance to keep T1 and other high speed
revenue services up and running, minim-
izing untimely and unwarranted
interruption of data flow.
