3M WS Aware Workstation Monitor is not intended to provide grounding to the tools and dissipative
surfaces - it only monitors proper grounding. Always properly ground your tools and dissipative surfaces to
known good ground before connecting WS Aware monitor for monitoring.
Always ground WS Aware monitor prior to connecting it to monitored items. Use grounding terminal on the
right side of WS Aware monitor for grounding.
If the WS Aware monitor is connected to a Facility Monitoring System (FMS), always verify that there is zero
voltage and low resistance between FMS ground and ground at the location where the WS Aware monitor is
installed and is being grounded. If ground conditions are unacceptable, correct them first prior to installing
WS Aware monitor, otherwise damage to WS Aware monitor and/or to FMS may occur.
