Pin-by-Pin Inversion Drive
The HD66324SA can generate 64-level positive-polarity and negative-polarity gray scale voltages with
respect to the inverted reference voltage for individual adjacent odd and even output pins. In addition, the
liquid-crystal alternate current drive can be controlled by switching the polarity of the M signal. (See the
Pin Functions section.)
In this way, when HD66324SA is arranged on either the upper or lower side of a TFT LCD panel, a dot
inversion drive can be performed in which gray scale voltages of different polarity are applied to individual
adjacent dots by switching the M signal on each CL1 clock, reducing the crosstalk which adversely affects
image quality, and so achieving a high-quality display.
