Since this switching regulator has the regulator output following the output voltage at about +2V, switching stops when
the output waveform is near the clip, that is, when the pin 28 SW OUT (regulator output) rises from VCC to
Q1VCEsat+TR1VBE+L1 (drop voltage) or more.
In this case, the current is supplied from the IC internal auxiliary current circuit Q3 and ICC2 flows to the output Tr to
supply the current.
2. PREVCC 36Pin
LA49032H has PREVCCPin (hereinafter called “pin 36”) in addition to VCCPin. Pin 36 is connected to the driver in
the power stage (see Fig. 1), enabling arbitrary change of the power by controlling the application voltage to pin 36.
When pin 36 is not to be used independently, short-circuit it with VCC during use.
The figure below shows the current through pin 36 in the case of settings of
VCC(35Pin)=12V PREVCC(36Pin)=11V/RL=16Ω and VCC(35Pin)=12V PREVCC(36Pin)=9V/RL=8Ω.
3. Standby function (HP STB Pin13, AMPSTB Pin25)
* Pin 13/25 incorporate the anti-static diode. Note that the current flows through the diode when the potential of pin
VCC 35 decreases below pin 13/25.
By applying the voltage of 2.5V (min) or more
to pin 13, the headphone amplifier is turned ON.
