In the external synchronization mode, the HSYNC and the VSYNC are input terminals. The HSYNC and the
VSYNC signals are generated by an external device. In the ’AV420 interlaced mode, the timing of the HSYNC
and the VSYNC signals must be RS170A-compatible. In the ’AV420 noninterlaced mode, the timing of the
HSYNC signal is RS170A-compatible and the period of the VSYNC signal is 262H (H is the RS170A line period).
Figure 11 and Figure 12 show the ’AV420 external synchronization timing.
