6.3 Subsystem Clock Oscillator Control Functions
The

PD753017A subsystem clock oscillator has the following two control functions.
Selects by software whether an internal feedback resistor is to be used or not

Reduces current consumption by decreasing the drive current of the on-chip inverter when the supply voltage
is high (V

2.7 V).
Note
When the subsystem clock is not used, set SOS.0 to 1 (so as not to use the internal feedback resistor)
by software, connect XT1 to V
SS
or V

, and open XT2. This makes it possible to reduce the current
consumption in the subsystem clock oscillator.
The above functions can be used by switching the bits 0 and 1 of the sub-oscillator control register (SOS).
