THERMAL SPECIFICATIONS
The AMD-K6E processor operating specifications call
for the case temperature (T
C
) to be in the range of 0°C
to 70°C for the CPGA package.
The ambient temperature (T
A
) is not specified as long
as the case temperature is not violated. The case
temperature must be measured on the top center of the
package.
Table 5 shows the thermal specifications derated,
based on operating the CPU at frequencies lower than
the maximum rated frequency.
