The MLX90308CCC and MLX90314AB sensor interfaces provide a versatile programmable
interface to a wide assortment of sensors and transducers. The sensor interface provides gain and
offset control, linearization and temperature correction for sensor. The device contains on chip
EEPROM for storage of the coefficients for making the signal corrections and adjustments. This
document describes the use of the Melexis software for programming and calibrating the sensor
interface. The MLX90308CCC and the MLX90314AB are identical circuits except that the
MLX90314AB has four times the gain as the MLX90308CCC. The package and pin out are the
same as well as the programming.
Within this document the terms ‘sensor interface’, ‘controller’, ‘chip’, and ‘ASIC’ are used
interchangeably and all refer to the MLX90308CCC or the MLX90314AB.
