HPR5: HomePNA PHY Auto-Negotiation Link Partner Ability Register (Register 5)
The Auto-Negotiation Link Partner Ability Register is
Read Only. The register contains the advertised ability
of the link partner. The bit definitions represent the re-
ceived link code word. This register contains either the
base page or the link partner
’
s next pages. The values
contained in these registers are only valid once Auto-
Negotiation has successfully completed, as indicated
by bit 5 in HPR1, or if the Next Page exchange is used,
after the Page Received (bit 1 of HPR6) has been set
to logic one.
