At base unit
There are three ways to enter to test mode.
1.Remove the power source and set /PWDN pin to low “ Hold the [ */T ] and [ # ] keys simultaneously
→
Power
up again and set /PDWN pin to high
→
Release keys and a beep tone is heard.
2.Remove the power source and set /PWDN pin to low
→
Set R5 pin Vss
→
Power up again and set /PWDN pin
to high
→
A beep tone is heard, then R5 pin can be opened.
3.When the base is using in standby mode, hold and release [ F ] and [ 4 ] keys simultaneously.
(Quick test - without opening the case or move the /PWDN switch).
In the default voice testing mode, the base controller set the following output pins.
/TXPWR=0, /TXMUT=1, HS=1, RLY=1, XMUTE=0, INUSE=1 and SPKLED=1
default the channel in CH 5 (D3-D0 = 0101).
It can press the [ # ] key to test another channel.
To go to data modulation test, press [ */T ] key. The DATO pins will output repeated “1” and “0” data and set
the output pins are as follows.
/TXMUT=0, RLY=0, HS=0, XMUTE=0, INUSE=1 and SPKLED=1.
It can press [ */T ] key again to toggle to voice testing mode.
When enter voice test mode the TXPWR, TXMUTE can be controlled by following operation :

To exit test mode, press [ INT ] key.
NOTE :For data “0”, it is represented by a square wave with 2.0ms pulse width, 50% duty cycle.
For data “1”, it is represented by a square wave with 3.5ms pulse width, 50% duty cycle.
