Description
The HD66321 is a 258-channel (256-scanning-line) gate driver ideal for use with XGA- and SXGA-size
TFT liquid crystal displays.
A wide setting range is available, with a maximum gate on-level of +25 V and a -15 V off level. In
addition, up to two off-levels can be generated, allowing use in counter electrode inversion systems and
drive systems that use coupling capacitances on the pre-stage gate line, as well as in dot inversion systems.
With additional features such as vertical magnification and centering display according to the external
signal, the HD66321 can be used in conjunction with an HD66326 data line driver (a parallel-development
product) to implement multiscan functions.

Vertical scanning lines
Vertical display magnification and centering with the ability to switch freely between single-line
sequential scanning and 2-, 16-, or 32-line simultaneous scanning
Gate off-level alternation
Two off-level values are generated alternately at gate-off. Supports various kinds of TFT LCDs,
including counter electrode inversion types.
Coupling capacitance drive
Outputting different off-levels in a 2-line period from gate-off implements drive using coupling
capacitances on the pre-stage gate line.
Interlaced drive capability
Interlaced drive capability offers support for SXGA and other panels with a large number of
scanning lines.
