25.2 Writing with Flash Programmer
Data can be written to the flash memory on-board or off-board, by using a dedicated flash programmer.
(1) On-board programming
The contents of the flash memory can be rewritten after the V850ES/KF1, V850ES/KG1, or V850ES/KJ1 has
been mounted on the target system. The connectors that connect the dedicated flash programmer must be
mounted on the target system.
(2) Off-board programming
Data can be written to the flash memory with a dedicated program adapter (FA series) before the
V850ES/KF1, V850ES/KG1, or V850ES/KJ1 is mounted on the target system.
Remark
The FA series is a product of Naito Densei Machida Mfg. Co., Ltd.

Note
When using the clock out of the flash programmer, connect CLK of the programmer to X1, and connect its
inverse signal to X2.
Cautions 1. Be sure to connect the REGC pin in either of the following ways.
Connect to GND via a 10
μ
F capacitor
Directly connect to V
DD
2. When connecting the REGC pin to GND via a 10
μ
F capacitor, the clock cannot be supplied from
the CLK pin of the flash programmer.
Supply the clock by creating an oscillator on the board.
