GENERAL DESCRIPTION
EM93010 is a highly-integrated tape-based answering machine controller in which control function and signal
amplification capability are integrated into a monolithic device. A melody generator, keyboard/ 7-segment LED
display interface, DAA circuit interface (ring detection and hook control), DTMF receiver interface, tape deck
mechanism interface, etc. are provided. Total component counts and production cost can therefore be reduced.
The linear amplifier portion combines all necessary amplifiers with Automatic Level Control function for signal
amplification and conditioning, analog switches and digital attenuator, designed to provide the most integrated
design for the single deck tape-based telephone answering device applications.

Built-in waiting music and beep tone implemented by programmable melody generator to reduce cost.
High current output ports for directly driving 7-segment LED display.
Pre-Amplifier for Tape Head, Microphone, Telephone Line signal amplification
Automatic Level Control to accommodate wide range of signal amplitude
Amplifier with adjustable gain by external components.
Line and speaker amplifier buffer.
Built-in Digital Volume Control.
Complete set of analog switches configurable for all operation modes required by TAD applications.
DAA interface (ring detection, hook control).
Supports Kyowa KCD-2500 and MEC ML-756 deck mechanism including: motor driver, tape-end detection
and tape motion sensor.
Use micro cassette message tape to records both OGM (OutGoing message) and ICMs (InComing messages)
and memos.
Automatic toll saver and selectable ring delays feature.
Call screening let you know who is calling before you answer.
Two way recording for recording telephone conversation for future reference.
VOX (Voice Activated Message Recording) detects call progress tone to avoid long blank tape, and save
recording time on message tape.
Full feature DTMF remote control for remote retrieval of memos, ICMs (InComing messages), changing
OGM (OutGoing message) or turning on machine from a touch-tone telephone, room-monitoring, remote
turing-off answering mode, etc..
