Remote Answer Off - control code “5”
The machine can be remotely set to ANSWER OFF in order not to answer any more calls.
1. Press control code “5” key on your phone. The answering machine will generate two beep tones to confirm
that it is now off, and then hangs up.
Erasing your messages - control code “6”
1. Enter control code “6” to erase the messages.
2. Two beep tones will be emitted, if the messages have been successfully erased.
If there is no message to erase, an “error” response, 4 beep tones, will be emitted.
Changing your security code - control code “#1”
The security code can be changed to any 3 digit code of your choice.
1. Press the control code “#1” to change security code.
The EM93010 will respond with 2 beep tones.
2. Enter a 3-digit new security code, say “135”.
3. Enter a “#” code when finish changing security code.
Changing your CBT code - control code “#2”
1. Enter control code “#2” to change CBT code.
The answering machine will respond with 2 beep tones.
2. Enter a 3-digit new CBT code.
3. Press the “#” key on the phone to complete the procedure.
Note: The security and CBT code will not change even when power failure occurs. (They will be recovered
from the tape.)
Note: If you have changed the security and CBT code and forget what the new code is. Take out the message tape,
remove the power jack, and then plug it back in. The security and CBT codes will revert to the preset
numbers (“787” for security code, and “505” for CBT code”).
Remote Answer On
If you forgot to set your machine to ANSWER ON, or turned it to ANSWER OFF remotely, you can remotely
turn it to ANSWER ON.
