Preliminary
The machine hangs up after detected a number of line-termination tone cycles or continuous silence.
The busy tone should not appear during playback for more than 1 second or cycle.
The unwanted silence should not appear for more than 2 seconds.

Motor driver circuit and KA2404
The motor driver circuit is essentially a transistor bridge to switch positive and negative terminal of motor to the
appropriate polarity.
KA2404 is governor IC that controls the tape speed. The motor speed should be adjusted by using a 3 K Hz test
tape during manufacturing process. When the deck is operated in fast forwarding or rewinding mode the gover
nor circuit will be switched to the higher speed.
ML-756 and KCD-2500
ML-756 and KCD-2500 are micro-cassette decks without solenoids. To drive the deck into a certain mode, i.e.
playback, fast forwarding, rewinding, or stop mode, the CPU has to send a specific sequence of control signals.
All kind of operation can be discomposed into 6 kinds of sequences and initialize, namely:
a. INITIALIZE
b. PLAY START
c. PLAY STOP
d. FAST FORWARD START
e. FAST FORWARD STOP
f. REWIND START
g. REWIND STOP
The rule is PLAY START must be accompanied by PLAY STOP, etc.
