6. Setting Constants of External Devices for the Crystal Oscillator Circuit
When determining the required capacitance values of the external components, please send a PCB of the
finalized layout with the ICs mounted on it to the manufacturer of the crystal oscillator for them to test.
If necessary, Toshiba can supply ICs with a range of different parasitic capacitance values on request.
In addition, please use a crystal oscillator with the lowest possible CI value.
A Daishinku K.K. crystal oscillator (with a maximum CI value of 30 k ) was tested with Toshiba’s test PCB
(using capacitors of 18 pF and 22 pF).
