Similarly, Figure 9 shows the voltage drop as a function of bulk
decoupling. The graph was calculated using 55-m
ESR 470

capacitors, and gives the designer a visual representation of
how much bulk decoupling is required. For example, at 1880

F,
the voltage is 1.92V (6A current transient), leaving little margin
for DC-tolerance errors. At 2820

F, the voltage is 1.95V,
allowing 0.05V for set point tolerance.
