Serial LED Interface
The LXT98x0 provides a serial interface to drive additional LEDs via external 8-bit Serial-to-
Parallel converters. A maximum of 30 LEDs can be driven, using four S/P devices. Collision10/
100, Activity10/100 status indications are output on multiplexed configuration pins and are
duplicated on the Serial Port. (See

Serial LED Signals
The LED serial interface bus consists of three LXT98x0 outputs: clock (LEDCLK), parallel load
clock (LEDLAT), and output data (LEDDAT). Refer to
