The TC-08 is an 8 channel thermocouple to PC interface. It can
measure the full range of temperatures from -270°C to +1800°C
and works with all popular thermocouple types - see table below.
There is also a 60mV range that can be used for other types of
sensor. Up to nine TC-08 units can be connected to a single PC
at once, providing up to 72 channels.
The TC-08 software provides all of the calculations necessary
for cold junction compensation and for thermocouple curve
normalisation. Software drivers are supplied for users who wish
to write their own software.
TC-08 Resolution
Temperature & Humidity
Pico Technology has developed a range of easy to use PC based
temperature and humidity converters. The units simply connect
to the serial port of a PC and require no power supply. The TC-
08, TH-03 and PT-104 all measure temperature using external
sensors. The RH-02 uses internal sensors to measure humidity
and also temperature.
All three products are supplied with PicoLog data logging
software which can collect data at rates from one sample per
second to once per hour and up to a million samples can be
recorded. Data can be displayed in graphical or spreadsheet
format, both during and after data collection.

Type K Thermocouples
Pico offers standard length type K thermocouple probes: Other
probes are available from specialist temperature measurement
companies and electronics catalogues.
Upon request Pico can also supply type J, K and T
thermocouples up to the length of 10m. These are exposed
wire thermocouples, with a choice of a PTFE or fibreglass cable.
Price is from ￡6 plus ￡1 per metre.
