3.2.2. Safety Requirements
Current source:
For safety requirements (UL compliance) it is necessary to limit the max. current for each PoE module
(48V power source) in a fault condition to the values shown on the following table.

The current sources require SELV (Safety Electrical Low Voltage) devices according to IEC 60950-1 or
EN 60950-1.
Heatsink safety warning:
With activated PoE function the heatsink at the back of the module will be hot. To prevent any injuries,
therefore, the module must be encased in such a way that it is not possible to touch the heatsink.
