12.15 Program Verification/Code
Protection
If the code protection bit(s) have not been enabled, the
on-chip program memory can be read out for verification
purposes.
12.16 ID Locations
Four memory locations (2000h-2002h) are designated
as ID locations, where the user can store checksum or
other code identification numbers. These locations are
not accessible during normal execution, but are read-
able for program verification. It is recommended that
only the 4 Least Significant bits of the ID location are
used.
12.17 User Code
PIC16CR7X microcontrollers are ROM-based, thus
user programming is not possible. Please contact your
Microchip sales representitive for details on how to
submit your final code. This information can also be
found in Application Note AN1010, “PIC16CR
ROM
Code Submission Process
”.
