The chance for internal collisions increases as the network load increases, and the exact behavior varies with network
topology. An example of this behavior is shown in Figure 25 and the SF is inferred from the limiting case where the
network is fully loaded.
Given this notion of SF, “how much faster is fast enough” Theoretical models and simulations can answer that ques-
