has to configure the corresponding parameters in the Queue Configuration Table (see

], page 53) and in the Traffic Class Table (see [

], page 47). The output rate of this
queue cannot be shaped (no PCR limiter function) and any rate entries in the
RateFactor(15:0) bits, (see [
1
], page 66) are ignored (as the global real time queue
doesn’t belong to a scheduler). As depicted in
Figure 1,
cells which belong to this queue
don’t cross any scheduler and thus configuration of a corresponding scheduler is omitted
(any configuration don’t care). Only the rt-traffic (represented by all rt-queues) has a
minimum guaranteed buffer space reservation (see page 36).
If this queue isn’t needed then no configuration in the tables is required.
