Transmitter
This chapter describes the MC92610 transmitter, its interfaces and operation. The chapter
consists of the following sections:
The transmitter takes the data byte presented at its data input, creates a transmission
character using its 8B/10B encoder (if not in 10-bit interface mode), and serially transmits
the character out of the differential link output pads. A detailed explanation of the 8B/10B
coding scheme is offered in Appendix B, “8B/10B Coding Scheme.”
