16-Bit Single Write
Bus Cycle
The L64007’s internal operations are on 16-bit boundaries. Thus, the 20-
bit address accesses a 16-bit word. When UDS and LDS are both active,
a 16-bit bus transaction is taking place. When either UDS or LDS are
active, it indicates an 8-bit transaction (active UDS indicates the upper 8
bits; active LDS indicates the lower 8 bits).
Figure 2.42 and Figure 2.43 show typical 8-bit read and write cycles for
the lower byte. Figure 2.44 and Figure 2.45 show typical 8-bit read and
write cycles for the higher byte.
