Serial Audio
Video Output
Interface
The A/V serial interface port provides the connection between the
L64007 and the external A/V decoder (see Figure 2.49). The physical
interface is designed for a seamless connection to the LSI Logic L64002
and L64005 A/V decoder. The interface can be programmed to provide
either a serial or a parallel connection between the L64007 and the
L64002 and L64005 A/V decoder. The interface outputs data stored in
the audio and/or video transport buffers on the serial output data line.
The A/V interface port outputs PES audio and/or PES video data
extracted from the transport bit stream. Any external device connected
to the interface must be able to accept PES level data in order to inter-
face properly with the L64007. The A/V rate ratio can be programmed
through the A/V control register.
